George F. Bauer age 89 died Sunday November 15, 2020 at Harmony Village Assisted Living Facility in Paramus, NJ. George was born May 18, 1931 in Brooklyn, NY to the late George F and Helen (Sleaven) Bauer. George grew up in Brooklyn, NY and graduated from Brooklyn College. He moved to Stony Point in 1963. George had a distinguished executive career culminating with him becoming the Vice President of Personnel after working 38 years at IBM in Thornwood, NY. George also served in the U.S. Naval Air Reserve from 1953-1961 where he was assigned to the VF 843 squadron. He also was an avid reader and loved his vacations on Cape Cod. George is survived by his wife of 63 years to Renee Bauer, 2 sons Richard and Jeffrey, 3 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. There will be a visitation Thursday, November 19th from 3pm to 7pm at the T.J. McGowan Sons Funeral Home 71 North Central Highway, Garnerville, NY 10923. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11:00am Friday, November 20, 2020 at the St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church 21 Cinder Road, Garnerville, NY 10923. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Airmont, NY.
