George Harold Bayer
October 2nd, 1944 - January 10th, 2021
George Harold Bayer, 76, passed away January 10, 2021 in Tucson, Arizona. Survived by his wife of 25 years Mary Margaret (nee Griffith), daughter Kimberly (Edward) Wright and their sons Alexander and Maxwell, son Timothy (Amy) Bayer and their sons Connor and Aidan. Also loved by stepdaughters Jennifer (Joseph) Schneider and family, and Patricia (Andre) Jones and family. He was preceded in death by father Rudolph "Rudy" Bayer, mother Winifred Centers, and brothers James and Gerald. Born in Elmhurst, Illinois (first triplets born there), he grew up in the Orland Park area. He moved to Tucson in 1995 and worked as a sales representative for Certex, retiring in 2009. George loved to hunt with his sons and grandsons; to go black-powder shooting and play poker with everyone willing. His greatest love was cruising, camping and fishing with his wife and friends. His second love was his beloved VFW Post 549 as an auxiliary member and volunteer. He was honored as their District 5 Volunteer of The Year 2020-2021. I love you! You will be missed! Come on Martha!
