GEORGE "BUZZ" RICHARD DAVIDSON January 16, 1943 – November 21, 2012 George was known to everyone as "Buzz". He passed away immediately on November 21 in a traffic accident. Born in Cairo , Missouri he lived on a farm raising chickens, milk cows, hogs, horses, sheep and goats. Their family managed a large garden and completely lived off the land. His home had no electricity, no in-door plumbing, and no running water. Buzz's dad was tragically killed in an airplane accident in 1958. His mom and 3 brothers moved to Moberly , Missouri in 1959. After graduating from high school in Cairo , Buzz attended Moberly Junior College , South Missouri State , Kirksville College and Portland State . Buzz moved to Oregon in 1964 to work on a railroad. He traded his car for two lots in Salem , Oregon then traded the lots for a down payment on the ice cream store on Woodstock , Oregon called "Davidson's" that he ran for 29 years. He managed lots of rental properties and currently had investments in the restaurant building on Woodstock , a car wash, and mobile home parks with his brother Barry. Buzz was a friend to everyone he met. He was a Master Mason at Sunnyside 163 Lodge three times, and was involved in the Lions Club on Woodstock , served Meals on Wheels and supported Portland Little League. He also was an usher at New Hope Community Church . Buzz married Jean Jacob Kimball at Meagan's Bay beach on the island of St. Thomas with 65 friends and relatives surrounding them in 1995. Buzz is survived by his wife Jean Davidson, daughter Tanya (Scott) Babb of Oregon City, step daughter Joelle (Alfred) Watson of Washington, grandchildren, Josh Davidson, Jacob Babb, Molly Watson, and Brooke Watson, brothers Jack (Donna) of Missouri; Gregg (Dixie) of Tigard, Oregon; and Barry of Metolius, Oregon, and sister and brother-in-law Bernice and Bob Lewis of Culver, Oregon.
