George Howard Delaney
July 29th, 1950 - September 5th, 2016
George H. Delaney, 66, of Rotonda West passed away on Monday, September 5, 2016 at Englewood Community Hospital. He was born on July 29, 1950 in Detroit, Michigan and he served in the US Navy. George was an accountant for the Department of Defense for thirty years until he retired in 2004 and moved to Florida from Warren, Michigan. He was a communicant of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Grove City and a member of their Knight of Columbus Council. Survivors include his loving wife of forty-five years: Maria Delaney of Rotonda West, FL; one daughter: Stefania and her husband Angus of New York; two sisters: Winifred Kramer of California, Rosemary Juif of Tennessee; and two grandchildren. A funeral mass will be said on Thursday, September 8, 2016 at 9:30 Am at St. Francis of Assisi Parish with Father York, officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Francis of Assisi - Out reach Ministry, 5265 Placida Road, Grove City, FL 34224 in memory of George Delany. Englewood Community Funeral Home with Private Crematory has been selected to handle arrangements.
