November 8th, 1951 - September 10th, 2015
FERNANDEZ, George L., 63, of Valrico, passed away, Thursday, Sept. 10, 2015. He was born in Havana, Cuba and moved to the United States when he was eight. He lived in the Tampa Bay area for more than 32 years. He served in the National Guard and was a graduate of the University of Florida and the South Texas College of Law. He is preceded in death by his parents, Alarico Fernandez and Carmen Medina; brother, Robert Fernandez. He is survived by his wife, of 30 years, Bonnie J. Morales-Fernandez; step-mother, Priscilla Fernandez; siblings, Alex Fernandez, Marilyn Kennedy, Alarico Fernandez, Jr., Xochil Fernandez and many nieces and nephews and extended family members. Services will be held at 7 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 19 at Florida Mortuary Funeral and Cremation services. The family will receive friends on hour prior to the service.
