George A. Gaudette
November 11th, 1948 - March 10th, 2012
"Ocala, FL – George A. Gaudette, 63, of Ocala Palms Florida, died Saturday, March 10, 2012 after a brief illness. Born in Palmer, MA on November 11, 1948 to Aime T. Gaudette of Monson and the late Virginia (Santucci) Gaudette, he was the oldest of five children. George graduated from Monson High School and served in the United States Navy. George worked for IBM out of Springfield, MA and Burlington, VT for many years until his retirement at age 55. During his retirement he enjoyed golfing, trips to Disney World and relaxing by his pool while watching the golfers on the 14th fairway in his backyard. George will be deeply missed by his wife Kathryn (Pixley), son Jesse Gaudette, daughter-in-law Amanda Bryan Gaudette of Burlington, VT; daughter Sarah Gaudette, son-in-law Andrew Coulter of Bradenton, FL; 4 sisters, Denise (Gaudette) Bird of Ocala, FL, Donna (Gaudette) Furlong of North Reading, MA, Joanne (Gaudette) Keller and her husband Robert Spencer of Umatilla, FL, and Janine (Gaudette) Anderson and her husband Scott of Palmer, MA; nieces & nephews Christopher & Karen Furlong of Boston, MA, Susan Bird of Steamboat Springs, CO, Cynthia (Bird) Ouellette and her husband Pete of Plantsville, CT, Jeffrey & Nicole Anderson of Palmer, MA, Alycia & Justine Keller of FL, and two great nieces Sariya Dodge of Mount Dora, FL, and Olivia Ouellette of Plantsville, CT. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 17, 2012 at 3:00 pm at Beers & Story Funeral Home in Palmer, MA. The family requests that flowers please be omitted and memorial donations may be made in the name of George Gaudette C/O Kathryn Gaudette, 2043 NW 58th Court, Ocala, FL 34482. The Gaudette family wishes to thank Hospice of Marion County and all the staff at the Florida Cancer Institute at Waterman Hospital in Tavares, FL."
