George W. Grubaugh
June 29th, 1935 - September 6th, 2013
George William Grubaugh, Jr, 78, of Tucson, Arizona, passed away peacefully on September 6, 2013. Visitation will be held from 6-8 PM on Tuesday September 10, 2013 at St. Francis de Sales Church, 1375 S. Camino Seco. The funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM on Wednesday September 11, 2013 at the same location. George was born in Ottowa, Illinois on June 29, 1935. He graduated from Ottowa Township High School and continued on to become a business owner. George was married to Betty on March 6, 1982; they were married 31 years. George worked as a truck driver. He enjoyed old westerns, rum and coke, and spending time with Betty. He was also a dedicated member of the Knights of Columbus. George is survived by his wife Betty, his children Tom Grubaugh, Barbara Melcher, Richard Grubaugh, Daniel Grubaugh, and Marni Ziegler; his step-children Julie Ratzesberger, Mary Welle, Kathleen Putnam and Therese O'Dell; his many grandchildren, great grandchildren and the rest of his family and friends. George is preceded in death by his children, Dennis Grubaugh, Steven Grubaugh and Gerald Grubaugh. As well as his grandson Ron Whitwell. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be given to the charity of your choice in his name. The family wishes to thank everyone for their love and support during this time.
