George F. Lenk, age 82, born April 11, 1927 of Aurora, CO, passed away on March 14, 2010. Survived by wife Leona (Lee), children Cynthia(Tom) Feyder, William, David (Kim),Bonnie (Wayne) Cowell, Claudia (Bill) Bradbury, grandchildren Lindsey, Angela, Michelle, Amy, Billy, Elizabeth, Sarah and Laura and great-grandson Brayden. George was born in Denver. He grew up in North Denver and graduated from North High School. He served in the Navy and the Coast Guard and later briefly attended classes at the University of Denver. He was also a member of the American Legion. He retired from the United States Post Office after 30 years of service. George enjoyed visiting with people and was a friend to all who met him. Some of his favorite leisure activities were enjoying his grandchildren, traveling, his many dogs, fishing, hunting for mushrooms, and listening to classical music. He was a very proud husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. A celebration of George’s life will be held on Saturday, March 20th at 2:00pm at the Aurora Fellowship Club,10242 E. 16th Avenue, Aurora, CO 80010. In lieu of flowers,donations may be sent to the Aurora Fellowship Club.
