June 7th, 1926 - February 16th, 2011
George F. Machado June, 7th 1926 - Feb. 16th, 2011 Resident of Pleasant Hill George F. Machado passed on Wednesday February 16th 2011 peacefully at his home in Pleasant Hill. Born in Volta California. He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Eleanor (Pimentel) Machado and his three children, Mark, Gayel, Frank Machado and his wife Susan, and five grand children, Kenneth, Kathleen, Anthony, Frankie and Zachary. He served his country twice, 1st, in WWII in the Navy, 2nd serving in the Army during the Korean Conflict. Born and raised in the San Joaquin Valley, he then moved to Lafayette in the early fifty's. He worked for Gallagher & Burk for 30 years and retired. Visitation will be held on Monday Feb. 21st beginning at 5:00pm with services at 7:00pm. Funeral service 10:00 am, Tuesday Feb. 22nd both at Oak Park Hills Chapel 3111 N. Main Street Walnut Creek, CA 94597 with the burial following at the Queen of Heaven Cemetery in Lafayette. Visitation Monday, February 21, 2011 05:00 pm-07:00 pm
