George Edwin McKinney

George McKinney, 51, husband of JoAnn McKinney, passed away Tuesday, December 22, 2020. George was quick witted and had a ready smile and laugh. He was eloquent in his words and he had beautiful handwriting. He had a kind, warm heart and was always willing to serve. He was talented but did not see the enormity of his gifts. He cared deeply and loved passionately. He was meticulous and he wanted perfection but was fully aware he needed the Lord. He accepted Jesus as his Lord and he would want you to do the same(John 3:16-17; John 16:33; John 14:1-3; 2 Corinthians 3:11. ) George made mistakes but asked forgiveness. He was loved and forever will be loved. He was a friend and a relatable voice to his children and their friends. He loved me and I love him. Thank you George for all the shared moments, the times we clicked were truly blessed. “K love you”. I will think of you always, especially when I work in the yard. Be at peace, my love, until we meet again. George was preceded in death by his Mom and Dad. He was a stepdad to one and a dad to two, a step granddad to two and a brother-in-law and uncle to many. His friends were dear to him. His home was the place to be for his children and his children’s friends - he welcomed them all as if they were his own. You all are loved! A memorial service will be held at a later date.
