March 5th, 1947 - May 15th, 2019
George Palmer Neitzel, of Delafield, passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, May 15, 2019 at the age of 72. He was born on March 5, 1947 to Palmer and Velma (nee Nissen) Neitzel. George married the love of his life, Elizabeth, on October 13, 1984. He worked as a farmer, a petroleum service manager, and then a maintenance engineer until his retirement. George enjoyed being a handyman and woodworker. George will be deeply missed by his wife, Elizabeth (nee Bell); children, Nicholas (Tami), Lynnette (Rob) Dahl, Gretchen (Scott) Prescott, Samuel, and Maxwell (Jenny Cattle); grandchildren, Tori, Taylor, Trinity, Morgan, Logan; siblings, Randy (Susie) Neitzel, Mark (JoAnne) Neitzel, Corinne (Greg) Miller, and Matthew (Kathleen) Neitzel. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation for George will be held on Wednesday, May 22, 2019 from 4:30 p.m. until the time of the 6:30 p.m. memorial service at Mapleton Barn, W359 N9370 Brown St., Oconomowoc, WI 53066. A reception will follow until 8:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are appreciated to the Humane Society of the United States, 1255 23rd Street, NW, Suite 450 Washington, DC 20037 or to Katy’s Kloset, 404 Wilmont Dr. D, Waukesha, WI 53189.
