George Rusch

George Rusch III, 81 of Greeley, CO passed away on January 13, 2012 in Thornton, CO. He was born in Ault, September 9, 1930 to George and Lydia (Eckhardt) Rusch, Jr. At age five, his mother passed away and his father re-married to Mary Foose, who became his mother. George was a farmer all his life and served two years in the US Army. On Aug. 14, 1955 he married Rosalie Kammerzell at St. Paul’s Church in Greeley. From this union they had three children. He continued to farm until retirement. He is survived by two sons, Gerald Rusch and Dennis Rusch both of Platteville, CO; one daughter, Cindy (Daniel) Stromberger of Sterling, CO; one brother, Kenneth (Dorothy) Rusch of Westminster, CO; one sister, Dorothy (Robert) Gandelman of Gilcrest, CO; three grandchildren, Jami (Gabriel) Evans of Loveland, CO, Cory Rusch of Greeley and Jeffrey (Kristyn) Stromberger of Iliff, CO; one great-grandchild, Caleb Evans of Loveland, and several aunts, uncles, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, January 20, 2012 at St. Paul’s Congregational Church, 1525 43rd Avenue, Greeley with burial following at Linn Grove Cemetery.
