George T. Scafide, 75, of Deptford, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, December 10, 2018. He was 75. Legacy A generous gentleman with a huge heart, George was always there for others and putting others needs before his own. He enjoyed hunting, watching old cowboy movies and most of all, spending time with his family, especially his nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews. George thought of himself as a good cook, but family and friends, jokingly, knew otherwise. Born in Philadelphia, PA, George was a longtime resident in Deptford, NJ. He was a proud United States Army Veteran serving from 1960 - 1963. George retired from Boeing after 15 years of service. Family Dear Son of the late, James and Rosalie (nee Beningo) Scafide: loving brother of Anthony (Connie) Scafide; cherished uncle and great uncle of many loving nieces, nephews and grand nieces and nephews; dear brother in law of Martha and Ginger. George is predeceased by his siblings, Louis, Russell, Rosalie Bauer, John, Samuel, Joseph and Jimmy. Farewell Tribute Relatives and friends are invited to attend George's viewing on Monday, December 17, 2018, 10:00 - 11:00 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ, where the Funeral Ceremony will follow at 11:00 AM.
