George Wayne Stallings, 82, of Charlotte, passed away January 23, 2022. Born October 23, 1939 in Chatham County, North Carolina, he was the son of the late William Cedric and Annie Nonie Johnson Stallings. He married Suzanne Hamilton in 1962 and they were married for 47 years until her passing in 2009. George worked for Easter Airlines for over 20 years and retired from Cadmus. He was an avid hunter in his younger days, and known for his inventive and creative solutions for any problem. He enjoyed his retirement years spending much time gardening and playing with his dog, Gandolf. George is survived by his sister, Marjorie Walker, and his loving children: Tia Stallings Wilson (Steve Wilson), Dana S. Bowitz (Michael Bowitz) and George "Brent" Stallings; grandchildren: Bailey Flores, Ashley Wilson, Pierce Wilson, Kyle Bowitz, and Anna Bowitz along with many more loving family members and friends. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by his wife, Suzanne, and his brother, William “Bill” Stallings. Feel free to leave the family your condolences via the Tribute Wall provided.
