George Trager of Pleasant Hill, OR., age 85, died October 3, 2013 of age related causes.He was born December 4, 1927 in Denison, Iowa to Richard Earl Trager and Elizabeth Irene Ames.A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 26th at 2:00 PM at the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 35549 Zephyr Way, Pleasant Hill, OR.George married Loraine Fordham on August 9, 1952 in Reno, Nevada.He graduated from Brownsville High School and from Barber College in 1947. He started his barbering career at Kampus Barber Shop in 1947. He owned East Side Barber Shop for 14 years and The Razor's Edge for 20 years. He worked part-time at Anderson's Barber Shop until June 2013.He served in the US Navy Hospital Corp. during WWII and was in the Korean War. He was a member of Lane Leaders Association, United States LST Association, Traditional Archers of Oregon, Cascadian Bowmen, Oregon Bow Hunters and had a pilot's license for 60 years. He was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church.Survivors include a son, Brian Trager of Pleasant Hill, a daughter, Debra Hodge of Everett, WA, a sister, Erlarene Cox of Eugene, sister-in-laws, Elaine Opager of Springfield and Judith Fordham of Napa, ID and one grandchild, Jason Lammers of Everett, WA.Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
