Obituary George Zimmerman passed unexpectedly on December 21, 2015 in Colorado Springs, Colorado at the age of 59. The family finds peace knowing George is in the arms of the Lord. George is survived by his wife, Linda James Zimmerman of Colorado Springs, Colorado. George was beloved by Lindas children: Laila and Bob Wallace; Ned and Diana Bahtishi, and Rema and Craig Mackes. Brothers: Pat Case and Allyn Case; Sisters: Caroline Schumacher and Georgina Redbear. He was loved by his Grandchildren: Shauna, Briana, Marissa, Sarah, Addison, Alexandra, Autumn, Frankie, Gavin, and eleven Great Grandchildren, many nephews and nieces and children who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents George F. and Isabel Zimmerman & Brother, Earl Case. George was born in 1956 in Gettysburg, South Dakota. He moved to Colorado Springs his senior year and graduated from Coronado High School. After graduation he worked in the oil fields; then as a steel construction worker on commercial buildings. He then started his own construction business in the mid 80s. George was a talented carpenter and built several custom pieces for his customers. George and Linda met in 1988 and spent 27 years together. George built their dream house in 1996 on the Westside of Colorado Springs near the Garden of the Gods. Their home was open to all those who needed a place during their lifes journey. They enjoyed riding old steam trains and George almost always had on an engineer hat. He was member of the mineral club for many years and enjoyed rock hounding, camping and playing games with his family.
