Georgina Rose Kovach
October 23rd, 1992 - September 5th, 2011
Carpe diem, quam minimum credula postero On the evening of September 5, Georgina Rose Kovach tragically passed from this world in a solo automobile accident on her way to work. In her short eighteen years of life, Georgina brought healing, knowledge and love to all who knew her. Gina possessed a sophisticated beauty, a warm hearted charm, a fierce will and an irreverent sense of humor. She was well known for her positive affirmations about life and her inspirational pep talks she would give to friends and family alike. After graduating from Independence High School in 2010, Georgina set out to make her mark on the world. Gina insisted on being independent and wanted to learn from her own mistakes rather than take the advice of others. When she set a goal, Gina pursued it with a burning passion. She completed security guard training and was proud of the fact that she was a crack shot with a 9mm. After obtaining employment as a security officer in Eldorado Hills, Gina set about making her plans for college and possibly service in the Air Force. She had planned to become a private investigator or law enforcement detective. We have no doubt that Gina would have obtained all of that and more as she made 'constant forward progress,' her mantra in life. Georgina is survived by her grandparents, Rose Savino of Roseville, George and La Verne Kovach of Pioneer, and Lee and Lyn Chandler of Sutter Creek. She leaves behind her forever heartbroken parents, Catherine Savino of Pioneer and George and Laura Kovach of Pine Grove. Her 'heart sister,' Trina; her 'Bubs,' Natasha and her 'Baby Brubba,' Jack, will forever look to her for inspiration and guidance throughout their lives. She also leaves behind numerous loving aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Although it breaks our hearts to let you go, we release you to climb the stairway to heaven in your six inch high black stilettos. Sleep sweet, Baby Girl. Friends and family are invited to join in a celebration of life for Georgina on Sunday, September 18 from 1:00 - 5:00 pm at the Native Sons Hall on Main Street, Sutter Creek. In lieu of flowers, the family has established a memorial scholarship fund. Donations can be made at any branch of Eldorado Savings in Georgina Rose Kovach's name. The funds will be used to benefit local youth achieve their educational goals.
