GERALD C. "JERRY" HAAS age 76 of Jefferson passed away on October 17, 2007 at his home. He was born on March 24, 1931 in Jefferson, son of the late Aloysius M. and Mary (Kemmeter) Haas. He married Gloria Borck on October 13, 1951 in Jefferson. He was employed by the Jefferson County Highway Department until his retirement in 1993. Jerry also served in the Army National Guard for 11 years. He was a life long member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Jefferson, where he served as an Usher, and a 4th degree Knight, with the Knights of Columbus. He is survived by his wife Gloria of Jefferson One daughter; Mary (Jeffrey) Sharlow of Jefferson Two sons; Jeffrey (Diane) Haas of Jefferson Daniel (Bunny) Haas of Jefferson 7 grandchildren; Daniel II (Carrie) Haas, Jason, Sarah Haas, Emily (Jonathan) Lembrich, Morgan Sharlow, Nicholas, Natalie Haas. 2 great-grandchildren; Benjamin Bieck, Caleb Lembrich 5 sisters; Lorraine Werner of Minocqua Ethel Carnes of Minocqua Elaine (LaVern) Jung of Adams Friendship Margaret (Norbert) Wedl of Sun City AZ Carol (David) Kemmerer of Phoenix AZ 2 brothers; Donald (Marion) Haas of Cudahy Allie (Stella) Haas of Watertown Many nieces, nephews other relatives and many friends Special friends Larry and Peg Richter, and Roger and Ann Weilbacher He is preceded in death by 4 brothers; Russell, Kenneth, Richard, Paul and 2 sisters; Shirley, and an infant sister. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday October 20th at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church with the Rev. Thomas Coyle officiating burial will be in the Parish Cemetery Friends may call on Friday from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Schneider-Michaelis Funeral home in Jefferson and then again on Saturday at the Church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass. In lieu of flowers memorial may be given to Jefferson Rainbow Hospice, Tomorrows Hope, or to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church.
