Gerald L. Klein
September 1st, 1937 - October 3rd, 2015
Gerry passed away in Edmonds, WA on October 3, 2015.During Gerrys career at Beckman Instruments in Brea, CA, he was awarded 37 different design patents, and lead a team in Advanced Systems Engineering that designed and developed an early warning system to screen for indications of myeloma from blood samples. He was also inducted into the Inventors Hall of Fame.Gerry was very active in the Pacific Northwest Postcard Club where he served as the editor of the newsletter for 7 years. Some of his other interests included stamp collecting, gem and mineral clubs, and gem faceting traditional designs as well as his own.He is survived by his wife, Darlene, sons Eric Klein and Sol Klein.A Recn will be held on Friday, October 23 from 11am to 1pm at Becks Tribute Center in Edmonds, WA.
