November 21st, 1960 - February 28th, 2021
Gerald Scott Mason, 60, passed away on Sunday, February 28, 2021. He was born in Fort Knox, Kentucky to the late William Grant and Glenna Rose Slusher Mason on November 21, 1960. Scott retired from the United States Army where he served in the medical and intelligence branches. During his time in the army, he was a Russian, Czech and German cryptologic linguist, a combat medic, a practical nurse, an x-ray technician, and a counterintelligence agent. Scott loved watching UK Basketball and was an avid reader and accomplished writer. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughter, Skylar Aliana Mason, Louisville; sister, Marda (Scott) Craig, VA; brothers, Stuart (Toni) Mason, OR, Tim Mason, Lexington, and David Mason, TX. A Graveside service will be Monday, March 15, 2021 at 11:00AM at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcilff, KY. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project
