Geraldine Mae Kleve
March 28th, 1932 - April 27th, 2012
Geraldine Mae Kleve died April 27, 2012 in Silverton, Oregon at the age of 80. Geraldine was born March 28, 1932, to Gerald and Gertrude Baty in Oregon City, Oregon. She grew up in Clackamas County and graduated from Canby High School in 1951. On December 9, 1962, she married Gilbert A. Kleve in the Canby Methodist Church. They moved to LaPine, Oregon in 1987 and returned to the Willamette Valley in 2008 to a home in the Woodburn Senior Estates. Geraldine served in the USAF in Korea. She was a homemaker and a foster parent to 35 children. She served in the Canby Police Reserves in the late 1960's and attended Clackamas Community College. She was a member of the LaPine's Friends of the Library and was an accomplished photographer, seamstress and crafter. Survivors include her husband; daughter, Andrea Morgan of Silverton; stepdaughter, Susan Cordry of Portland; and stepson, Donald Johnson of Coos Bay. A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 19, at 11:30 a.m. in the dining hall at the Woodburn Senior Estates Gold and Country Club in Woodburn.
