Beaudoin, Gerard Marcel Sr.,of St Petersburg, Florida passed away December 8, 2020 surrounded by his loving family. Gerry was born on October 28, 1933 to Robert and Marie Rose (Grenier) in Drummondville, Quebec, Canada. They moved to Massachusetts where he continued his schooling until joining the United States Marine Corps and served in the Korean War. He continued to serve in the military until 1953 when he married his childhood sweet, Pauline Beliveau. Over the years, he worked in the textile industry, raised 5 children and was involved with the local VFW and a member of the Knights of Columbus. Then in 1980 moved his family to Florida where he could enjoy DIY trade-type work and working for the St. Petersburg Times. Gerry's hobby was his family and then puzzles later in life. Family always came first for him whether it was to attend his children's event, then to grandchildren and great-grandchildren's events. He believed in working hard and putting passion into everything he did. Gerry always enjoyed Christmas time and made sure the house was decorated inside and outside. Even though his wife said Gerry had 2-left feet when it came to dancing, it still didn't matter, because they enjoyed dancing together and became involved in ballroom dancing. He is survived by his wife of 67 years Pauline; his 5 children Gerard (Nancy) Beaudoin Jr., Michael (Carol) Beaudoin, Theresa (Billy) Beaudoin-Catano, Christine (Scott) Beaudoin-Sheppard and Monique (Mark) Patrick; and his 7 grandchildren Melanie (Eric) Scharber, Nicole (Chuck) Kelly, Aaron (Robyn) Beaudoin, Gerard III (Corina) Beaudoin, Emily (Keith) Beaudoin-Braytons, Cody and Koby Catano; 8 great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. Interment of Ashes Service is scheduled for 1:30 March 26th, 2021 at the Florida National Cemetery, located in Bushnell, Florida. Please no flowers for the service. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations be made to the Suncoast Empath Hospice in memory of Gerard.
