Geronny Sam Fant of West Columbia passed away May 21, 2022. Born in Union SC, he was the son of Sam Preston Fant and Maggie Louise Spencer Fant. He had been a local resident of West Columbia for many years. Geronny graduated high school in Clarksville, TN. He ran a successful business for many years, Fant’s Home Improvements. In his spare time, he enjoyed working on projects around his house, working on vehicles and fishing. Geronny was the type of person that never met a stranger. He was loved by his family, friends, and furry companions. Surviving is son, Jason Fant; daughters, Angela Fant, Maggie Fant and Samantha (Fant) Shirey; granddaughter, Evelyn Shirey; sister, Amanda Fant-Farison; brother, Michael Fant; and significant other, Cynthia Mahaffey. Geronny was preceded in death by his mother, Maggie Louise Spencer Fant; father, Sam Preston Fant; and daughter, Jessica Fant. Funeral services for Geronny Fant will be held Tuesday, May 31st at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Visitation is at 12pm with the funeral service beginning at 1pm. The burial will be at a private location.
