Geraldine "Gerrie" Martin, a longtime resident of Colorado Springs, died at home with her family surrounding her on August 11, 2019. She was born June 17, 1942 in Murray, UT to Gaile Edward and Hazel Darlene (Skinner) Young. Gerrie moved around from Utah, Missouri and settled in Colorado. She attended and graduated from Wasson High School in 1960. Shortly after, she married Larry Dean Martin on July 9, 1960. They stayed in Colorado Springs and she worked for School District 11, in the food service department for many years. She enjoyed slot machines, friends, and especially her family. Gerrie is survived by her husband; her children and their spouses, Theresa & Dan Borata, Kevin Martin and Lisa & Rich Canedo; a brother, Kenneth Young; grandchildren, Amber Derryberry, Jennifer Townsend, Kami Finn, Kyle Borata, Andrew Borata, Aubrey Martin and Richie Canedo; 12 great grandchildren and one on the way. She was preceded in death by her parents, a granddaughter, Allie Canedo, and two brothers, Bobby and Garry Young. You are using an outdated web browser that does not support this video.
