Gertrude J Napolitan

Gertrude Alice Napolitan, 103, of North Port, Florida, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2023. She was born April 9, 1920, in Braddock, Pa. Gertrude attended business school and worked as secretary for Westinghouse Electric through WW II. She later worked as a legal secretary at GRB Law Firm in Pittsburgh, Pa. for 15 years. After retirement she moved to North Port, Florida 42 years ago. She was an active member of the Trinity United Methodist Church for 25 years, the Elks Lodge, the North Port Yacht Club and served Meals on Wheels to the North Port community from her church. She moved to Plantation Florida in 2011. Gertrude is survived by her two sons David of Miami Beach Florida, Drew and wife Sudsawat of Punta Gorda Florida, three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was married to her Highschool sweetheart Andrew for 68 years who passed in 2010. A visitation will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, November 13, 2023, at Farley Funeral Home in North Port. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, November 14, 2023, at Farley Funeral Home, with a 12:30 p.m. burial to follow at Venice Memorial Gardens in Venice, Florida.
