Gilbert Andrew Connelly

Gilbert Andrew Connelly II died July 2nd, 2018 of natural causes at his home in Denver Colorado. Gil was a loving husband and father and is survived by his wife, Mollie Kober, daughter Annaka Marie (9), son Gilbert Andrew III (8), his mother Wanda Silverman of Las Vegas, NV; 5 sisters: Cynthia Eady of Loxahatchee, FL, Lynda Tourloukis of Las Vegas, NV, Eve (Jerry) Floro of Earlysville, VA, Ava Umanos of Las Vegas, NV, Bridget Quinn of North Hollywood, CA; 1 brother: William (Mariann) Connelly of Oregon, IL, and numerous nieces and nephews. Gil was born on August 10, 1963, in Park Ridge, Illinois to Gilbert and Wanda Connelly. He had a varied career as a sales professional and was a skilled craftsman. Gil was proud of his Irish, Swedish roots and growing up in the Chicagoland area. For those of us fortunate enough to have known Gil, we will remember his story telling of grand proportions, complete with appropriate accents; his willingness to help whenever a need arose; his skills in woodworking, construction and the kitchen; his eye for detail and his pleasure in negotiating a deal. But mostly we will remember Gil†™s total devotion to his family. His love for Mollie, and children, Annaka and Drew, made him whole and gave him great joy. Gil†™s roles as father and spouse made his life complete and filled him with pride and happiness. He instilled in his children a positive and confident outlook on the world, and for this Mollie will forever be grateful. We will miss his reliable, steadfast love. A memorial service will be held August 18, 10:30 a.m. at Bethlehem Lutheran Church Denver, CO. Memorials may be sent to Boy Scouts of America, Bethlehem Lutheran Church or a charity of your choice.
