Gilbert Lenville Cowart

December 8th, 1928 - September 12th, 2016

“Gib” went to be with his Lord on Sept. 12th 2016. He passed at home surrounded by his loving family. Gib was born in Houston Texas on Dec. 8 1928 to Lenville Milda Cowart and Ruth Anne Johnson – Cowart. He and Ruby Peterson were married on Aug. 16 1949 and had 4 children, Beverly, Rick, Rocky, and Rebecca. He also had 11 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He was a Minister who served God to the fullest and pastored in Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, and Oregon from 1949 to 1975. He and Ruby bought 15 acres in 1981. He loved “the Place” as he called it. Some days he went from sunup to sundown working on his tree farm. Memorial services will be held October 1st 2016 at 1:00pm in McMinnville Ore. at Calvary Chapel 1825 W. 2nd St. McMinnville Oregon. There will be a gathering at Wortman Park located at 2051 N.W. Lafayette Ave.
