Gilbert Muniz

Gilbert Muniz, a Los Lunas resident at the age of 82, has passed away on November 28, 2021. As a young man, Gilbert joined the United States Marine Corp. to which he credited for making him the man he was. A man like Gilbert Muniz comes along once in a lifetime, there wasn’t a challenge he couldn’t conquer. Gilbert was a loving and supportive husband, father, and grandfather. He is preceded in death by mother, Louisa Chavez, father, Frank Muniz, brother, Rudy Chavez, sister, Isabel Rodrigues, and brother, Frank Muniz Jr. He is survived by sister, Louisa Garcia, wife, Ruth Muniz, son, Richard Muniz, daughter, Deborah Herren, and grandchildren, Alyscia Herren, Tiffany Herren, and Mia Muniz, and Jake Muniz. The rosary and funeral service will be held at Nativity Catholic Church with interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. The rosary will be at 8:00 am, mass at 9:00 am, and burial to follow the mass. Pallbearers for Mr.Muniz are: Richard Muniz, Jake Muniz, Paul Sanchez-Frazee, Ivan Quevedo, Christopher Bryant, and Carlos Perez.
