Gilbert "Gil" Payton Richardson
September 3rd, 1964 - January 12th, 2019
Gilbert “Gil” Payton Richardson, Jr, 54, passed away Saturday, January 12, 2019. The husband of Shelby Richardson, he was born in Los Angeles, CA to the late Gilbert and Lee Ann Gillen Richardson. Gil worked for the Department of the Navy and was a member of the Versailles Church of Christ and the Sons of the American Revolution. In addition to his wife, Shelby, he is survived by his sisters, Amy (John) Girimont of Lanexa, VA and Susan (Bob) Locke of Greeley, CO; mother and father in law, Curtis and Pat Langston, Versailles; brothers in law, John Langston, Versailles and Thomas (Erin) Langston, PA; aunt, Lou Jenkins, CA; nieces and nephews, Morgan Girimont, Brianna (Chad) Girimont Cassick, Steven Locke, Nathan Locke, Rebecca Locke, Bethany Locke, Dillon Langston, Haley (Troy) Hollar, Garret Langston, Megan (Josh) McGeorge, and Tucker (Rebekah) Langston. A Memorial Service will be held 12:00pm, Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at Versailles Church of Christ, Versailles, KY, officiated by Derrick Sumeral. In lieu of flowers, the family requests Memorial Contributions be sent to Bluegrass Hospice Care, 2312 Alexandria Dr, Lexington, KY 40504.
