Gilbert Erving Terwilliger passed on April 26, 2015 after a long struggle with Alzheimers. He is survived by his sons Ryan and Garrett. Garrett and his wife Kristie gave Gilbert his three grandchildren: Malia, Kailani, and Koa.Gil was born on March 14, 1937 in Seattle to Ruth and Myron Terwilliger. He grew up on Queen Anne Hill and he graduated from Queen Anne High School in 1955. He spent four years in the Navy reserves, where he met many lifelong friends and acquaintances.He worked for many companies. He started out working at Williams Chips. He owned and operated a wrecking yard in the 1970s. Then he worked for a time in the sheet metal industry, and he ended his career as a purchasing agent at Nichols Brothers Boat Builders in Freeland, Washington.Gil was a lover of cars, boats and the great outdoors. He spent much of his free time working on any or all of these activities at once. He loved to fish and hunt. He taught his sons to respect and love nature. 46 Name /
