Gilberto Pagan

Gilberto Pagan of Charlotte, NC sadly passed away with his son by his side, early on Friday morning, November 12, 2021. He will be lovingly remembered by his fianc, Lisa Thai; his siblings, Wilfredo Pagan, Hector Pagan, Naomi Pagan and his children, Gil "Tito", Tina, Sonja, and Adam as well as his many grandchildren and very extended loving family. He was predeceased by his brothers Ruben Pagan, Ferdinand "Chiqi" , his sisters Elsa and Graciela Pagan, and his eldest son, Carmelo "Carlos". Gilbert Pagan was born and raised in Youngstown, OH. He lived there with his father and mother Carmelo and Victoria Pagan along with his 5 siblings until early adulthood. He eventually moved to Isabela, Puerto Rico where he started a family and became a skilled press operator. He lived there with his close family for about 10 years enjoying the island life. His profession gave him the opportunity to move to Charlotte, where he paved the way for a better life for his family. Throughout the years, he was joined by many of his siblings with their families which further extended the family roots in Charlotte. Gilbert found great joy being surrounded by his family and friends. He liked attending family BBQs and holiday gatherings. Playing cards and dominos, listening to music, dancing as family and friends were all around. Grandkids, nephews and nieces running around all over the place. He loved watching movies and boxing fights, loved good home Puerto Rican cooking, Lisas Asian meals and a great buffet with crab legs. Gilbert strived to be a selfless, caring, hard working man who put his children, siblings, and family first above himself. He will be greatly missed from this Earth.
