Gini Hammeken

HAMMEKEN, Gini, 70 of Lutz, Florida passed away June 29, 2014. Gini was born in Charlotte, North Carolina and moved to Florida in 1965. She was the owner of Hammeken Real Estate Appraisers and worked for Freemont Mortgage more recently. Gini loved music and gave 100[%] to all she did and would shine through. She was an avid reader and enjoyed Scrabble and Words with Friends. Gini was very creative. She sewed, and could make her own clothing, pillows, etc. She even made her own soap. She expressed her love with her caring and her ability to know just what you needed. Gini would always care for others. She had a green thumb and grew anything. She shared her produce, eggs and everything she could grow. She was a crafter and a gentle, loving soul. Gini is preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Nettie Kisiah; son, Eric Wayne Hammeken and sister, Ruby Smith. Gini is survived by her husband of fifty one years, Raymond “Ray” Hammeken; siblings, Thomas Kisiah and wife Patsy, William Kisiah and wife Joan, Norma Runyon and husband Jim, Sandra Nordman and husband Paul, Joe Kisiah and wife Marilyn, Steve Kisiah and wife Gheisa, Tim Kisiah and wife Melissa, Kathy Kushell and husband Peter, Lesa Winchester and husband Rick, Shane Kisiah and wife Vicki; brother in law, Karl Smith; fifteen nieces and fifteen nephews. A memorial service will be held at Loyless Funeral Home July 3, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Donations may be made in Gini’s name to the American Cancer Society.
