Gino Perna, passed away peacefully on August 18,2021 at the age of 96. Gino was born in Paris France but raised in Lucca Italy.He joined his wife Helen (who predeceased Gino in 2014 )in the U.S. in 1948 and lived in Palatine Illinois before moving to Pass a Grille Florida ,where he spent his days walking to the Don CeSar, never meeting a stranger. Gino was warm, friendly, loved animals, gardening, playing Bocce and hunting with his son Terry and Grandson Colt. He is survived by his sons Marino (Lynda), Terry(Heidi), grandsons Garrett, Alex, Colt, grand daughter Tara Gresham(Patrick), great grand daughter Roslyn. We love you and you will always be in our hearts. A visitation will be held from 5-7 pm on Thursday, August 26th at the David C. Gross Funeral Home in St. Petersburg. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:30 am Friday, August 27th at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 445 82nd Avenue, St. Pete Beach, with interment to follow at Calvary Catholic Cemetery in Clearwater. To order flowers, please call Flowers Unlimited at (727) 344-3565. All flowers are to be delivered to the funeral home by noon Thursday, August 26th. The care of Mr. Perna and his family has been entrusted to David C. Gross Funeral Home in St. Petersburg.
