Ms. Gladys Irene Merckle, 95, of Kernersville passed away on March 7, 2024 at Hospice Home at High Point in High Point, North Carolina. Born in Belmont County, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Melvina (McDonald) McMahon and wife of the late Harry Merckle. Gladys is survived by her children, Judy Trubenbacher, Gary Merckle (Carol), Donna Smith (David) and Diana Merckle (Rob); her five grandchildren; and her ten great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harry Merckle; her son-in-law, Michael Trubenbacher; her two sisters; and her nine brothers. Graveside funeral services will be at Holly Memorial Gardens, 73360 Pleasant Grove Rd, Colerain, OH 43916 on Thursday, March 14, 2024 at 2:00PM with Marty Evaline officiating. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Hospice of the Piedmont/Hospice Home at High Point for the care they showed Gladys and her family.
