Glen Edward Anderson
April 27th, 1932 - March 16th, 2012
Glen Edward Anderson, 79, of Wilder, passed away on March 16, 2012 at a Nampa Hospital. Glen was born on April 27, 1932 in Prague, OK to James and Ruby Anderson. He served in the U.S. Navy serving in Japan and Korea. After being discharged from the Navy, Glen spent many years working as a deputy sheriff in Yuba County, CA. Glen was very community oriented and volunteered his time in various programs for the youth. He helped children learn bicycle safety, drug awareness and the dangers of drunk driving. After retiring he continued his volunteer work. He served 12 years as a volunteer deputy sheriff on S.T.A.R.S. in California, and was a Triad volunteer for the Caldwell Police Dept. and the Owyhee County Sheriff’s Office. Glen also served as a 4-H leader for 25 years and was a Past President of the Homedale Senior Center. He enjoyed being a professional photographer and this passion of capturing memories was enjoyed for 35 years. Glen was also a member of the Mt. Calvary Lutheran Church in Homedale. He is survived by his wife, Luella May Anderson, son, Loren (Kathy) Anderson, Wilder, ID. daughters, Teri Anderson (Fred Schreur), Lutz, FL., Bonnie Step, Brandon, FL., granddaughters, Amanda (Morgan) McCollum, Wilder, ID., Amethyst McFarland, St. Petersburg, Fl., Andrea Step, Brandon, Fl., and McKinzie Step, Brandon, Fl., grandson, Clayton McFarland, Lutz, Fl. and great-grandson, Maxwell McCollum, Wilder, ID, brothers James (Margaret) Anderson, Marysville, CA, David (Elenor) Anderson, Oroville, CA, sister June (L.D.) Lansdon, Roseville, CA., and good friend Barbara Rogers, Wilder, ID. He was preceded in death by sister Bernice Macanas, Marysville, CA. The family will be holding an inurnment on March 30,2012 at 1:00 PM at the Idaho State Veterans Cemetery. Service Information
