Glen Leslie Spell, 72, of Eaton, CO passed away peacefully, surrounded by love and family, on February 27, 2022 after battling Alzheimer’s Dementia. He was born on March 30, 1949 in Frankfort, Indiana to Walter Lee and Margaret Whitinger. When he was young Margaret married Bennie Spell who raised and adopted him. Glen was a farm boy who graduated from Middletown High School and was known to his many friends as Oscar. He pulled tractors and farmed for many years, before working at United Airlines for 23 years, then delivered propane for CHS for 10 years. He loved snow skiing, farming, Nascar races, sports, and having a good time, often telling jokes, and loved the pull-my-finger joke. He is survived by his wife Becky of 46 years; his children Charlotte (Brian) Davidson (granddaughter Andrea), Ernie Spell (granddaughter Elora), Leslie (Justin) Miller (grandchildren Daxton and Camryn), Darren (Molly) Spell (grandchildren Samantha and Emitt); his brother Jerry; his nephew Steffen (Charlene) Spell with whom he shared a special bond; nieces, nephews and cousins. A public viewing will be held Friday March 4th at 4:00 at Northern Colorado Crematory in Greeley, Colorado, as well as a Celebration of Life in Indiana at a date to be determined.
