Glenda Joy Fellows met Jesus face to face on March 20, 2022. Glenda Joy McClenny was born on November 6, 1934, in Dothan, Alabama. Growing up, she lived with her family in Alabama, Washington D.C., and Maryland. She met her “one and only,” Joe Fellows, while he was stationed at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland. They were married on November 3, 1956, and were blessed with 61 years together. Early in their marriage, Joe and Glenda moved to Georgia where she spent the remaining years of her life. Glenda was a truly virtuous woman: a faithful wife; a Godly mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother; and a sweet friend to all. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten. As Psalm 116:15 states, “Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his faithful servants.” Those left to remember Glenda are her three children and their spouses: Glen (Linda) Fellows, Cindy (Kevin) Lucas, and Sherry Jo (Jeff) Shaddix; her four grandchildren: Christina (Scott) Walker, Jaron (Jordyn) Shaddix, Cody Shaddix, and Amanda Joy Lucas; her four great-grandchildren: Declan and Lincoln Walker and Dean and Raegan Shaddix; her four younger siblings: Mike (Grace) McClenny, Sandra White, Ronnie (Linda) McClenny, and Johnnie McClenny; and her church family of Gilead Baptist Church where Glenda faithfully worshipped the Lord for so many years. We can never express our sincere appreciation for Pine Pointe Hospice and the loving care shown to Glenda as well as her family during her final days. Especially gracious and kind were Sandy Williams, Nakisha Glen, Claire Davis, and Alicia Wilson. We are so thankful to Michael Jackson with Hospice Source who so cheerfully, patiently, and respectfully delivered and set up the equipment that allowed us to keep Mom comfortably at home until she journeyed to her eternal home. A Visitation with family and friends will be held on Friday, March 25, 2022, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service honoring the life of Glenda will be held on Saturday, March 26, 2022, at 3:00 pm at Heritage Memorial Funeral Home with Pastor Craig Holmes and Pastor Kevin Lucas officiating. Immediately following the services, Glenda will be laid to rest beside her beloved Joe Fellows at Parkway Memorial Gardens. The family respectfully asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Gilead Baptist Church, 4800 Ivey Dr, Macon, GA 31206. It is with great honor Heritage Memorial Funeral Home and Crematory has been entrusted with Mrs. Glenda Joy Fellow’s arrangements.
