Glenn Mac Ford
July 16th, 1952 - March 25th, 2024
Glenn Mac Ford was born on July 16, 1952 to Clarence Quentin Ford and Ruth Madge Ford. He grew up in southern New Mexico and graduated from New Mexico State University in Las Cruces with a degree in Civil Engineering. Glenn and Martha were married in 1976. They are soul mates and had 48 years together on this earth.
During those years they had a son, Quentin Allen Ford. Glenn had a career in Engineering with the Forest Service; on the Gila NF in New Mexico and on the Plumas NF in California. He loved his work and was forthright in all that he did. After retirement from the Forest Service, Glenn put much energy into helping people with Brain Injuries, both on a personal level and in Santa Fe to advocate for legislative support.
Glenn enjoyed many outdoor adventures. They include camping, hiking, birding, and fishing. He loved volunteering every summer on the Cumbres
and Toltec train. His knowledge of the history of the train and wildlife helped guests enjoy the ride. Glenn also took pride in remodeling each house that he and Martha lived in. Much of the work was done by himself - some work was done by contractors.
Glenn passed from this life on March 25, 2024 after nearly five years of successfully fending off neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer. He is survived by his wife, Martha Ford, their son, Quentin Allen Ford, his sister and brother in law, Dabney Ford and Scott Andre.
