"Unconditional love means not expecting anything in return but cherishing the happiness of the person you love "
Glenna Warner, lovingly known as Gigi, passed away on Monday, Sept. 16, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and selflessness. Born on March 1, 1951, Gigi’s life was defined by her servant’s heart and deep love for her family and friends. She was a nurse, homemaker, and an amazing wife, mother, grandmother, sister (sissy) and friend who always made others feel seen and heard. Her greatest joy in life was her grandchildren, whom she fiercely supported in every aspect of their lives. Regardless of one’s station in life, Gigi’s love was unconditional.
Gigi was a devoted wife to her husband of 54 years, Mike, and a loving mother to her daughter, Sonja Bennett. She also adored her son-in-law, Ron, and her grandchildren, Hannah, Courtney, Zane, Michael, Rachel, and Laken. She was the best protector and guide for her family.
Gigi’s adventurous spirit shone through in her love of hunting for the Funfest medallion each year and in the many travels she shared with Mike. She is preceded in death by her granny, Eliza Salyer, and mother, Edna Salyer Roseberry. She was survived by her younger siblings, Kathy Goode, Brenda Painter, and Ronnie Salyer.
Her empathy, strong will, selflessness, and unwavering support touched countless lives, and her memory will live on in the hearts of everyone she loved.
