Gloria J. Marciniak

Gloria Marciniak, 87, of the Edward L. Wilkinson Residential Health Care Facility, formerly of Guy Park Avenue, passed away peacefully Monday morning at the St. Mary's Hospital with her loving family at her bed side. Born June 12, 1926 in Amsterdam, NY she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Jennie Mitchell Liebelt. She was a lifelong resident and attended Amsterdam schools. Gloria was a homemaker and she attended St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church. She liked music, sewing and spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include her son Michael Marciniak, Sr. and his wife Jackie of Amsterdam; a brother Edward Liebelt Arlene of Cranesville; four grandchildren Jessica Close, Robert Close Jessica, Michael Marciniak, Jr. and A.J. Marciniak , several nieces. Gloria was predeceased by a daughter Linda Close who passed away in 1990 an a sister Dorothy A. Wilkevitch who passed away in 2012. Funeral services will be held on Thursday morning, June 27, 2013, at 10:00am at the Betz, Rossi & Belllinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Avenue, Amsterdam followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated 11:00am at St. Mary's Church, 156 East Main Street, Amsterdam, NY with Rev. Victor Polito as celebrant at 11:00am. Burial will follow at Green Hill Cemetery in Amsterdam. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 9:00 to 10:00 at the funeral home.
