Gordon Stanley Lunt

Gordon Stanley Lunt, a resident of Martinez, CA, passed away peacefully in Walnut Creek on November 2, 2015 at the age of 49. Gordon was born on October 16, 1966 in Los Angeles, CA to Stanley and Marjorie Lunt. The family moved to Contra Costa County when Gordon was 9 months old. He grew up in Pittsburg and Martinez and graduated from Liberty High School in Brentwood. Gordon was a participant in Walnut Creek Special Recreation, Hope League, and Camp Costanoan in Cupertino. He also attended CIWP, a day program in Antioch. He was very active in the community and loved serving others, including: selling raffle tickets for his younger foster brother & sisters school programs and for the Dan OHara Foundation. Gordon loved: working at the Virginia Hills Burger King for the past 30 years, visiting Lynn and her family in Utah, and YARN! His yarn collection includes 2000+ skeins, which he made into beautiful variegated colored tissue box covers. He is survived by his parents, Stanley and Marjorie Lunt; siblings, Adrienne (Gidget) Edwards, Heather Williams (Troy), Ann Lunt, Nathaniel Lunt (Cristen), Ronnie Lunt; nieces and nephews, Brooke, Candace (Eugene), Parker (Ashley), Makaela, Alexis, Louis, Bella; and a great-aunt, Geogellen Smith (Gordon). Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 7, 2015 at 11:00am/viewing at 10:00am, at: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 555 Boyd Rd, Pleasant Hill, CA.
