Miller, Gordon R. ?Gordie?, 74, of St. Petersburg, died Monday, May 22, 2006 at Bay Pines VA Health Care under Hospice care. Born in Dykemans, New York, he came here eight years ago from New Jersey. He was an US Army veteran and was the recipient of the Purple Heart for injuries received while serving in Korea and was nominated for a Silver Star. He was a retired Corrections Officer with the Greenhaven Correctional Facility in Stormville, NY. He was a member of the VFW. Survivors include a daughter, Kim L. Fritz, St. Petersburg; a sister, Ruth Westover, Southbury, CT and two grandchildren, Cameron J. and Kristen L. Fritz both of St. Petersburg.
