Grace Ethel Chaloupka

July 3rd, 1920 - November 3rd, 2012

Grace Ethel Chaloupka, 92 of Parma, died Saturday, November 3, 2012 of natural causes. Memorial services are scheduled for Monday, November 12, at 3:00 pm at the Parma Senior Center. Grace Ethel Rose was born in Caldwell, Idaho on July 3, 1920. She attended public schools in Huston, Idaho and graduated from Caldwell High School in 1938. She attended Links School of Business in Boise. Grace married Edward Chaloupka on May 29, 1939. In 1939, they bought their farm near Parma. Soon after the Black Canyon Water Irrigation District brought water to the sagebrush covered desert. Grace and Edward worked hard and established a successful dairy farm to support the family. Edward passed away in 1999. She remained on the family farm. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and visiting her sister and brothers and their families that all lived in the Boise Valley. Grace is survived by 4 of her five children, including Edward Chaloupka and wife Cindy of San Luis Obispo, CA, James Dale Chaloupka of Boise Idaho, daughters Sue Chaloupka of Tuscon, AZ, and Judy Ballou and husband Dave of Parma, Idaho. Her daughter Shirley Anne Whisman of Gig Harbor, WA, passed away in 2005. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren and her sister Mrs. Phyllis Weiss of Meridian. She was preceded in death by her parents and brothers Gilbert, Glen, Wayne, and Delbert. She touched many lives. She will be missed dearly by all the family and friends. Service Information
