Grace Heath

May 12th, 1922 - July 13th, 2012

Grace Heath, 90, of Mtn. Home, Idaho, passed away Friday July 13, 2012, of natural causes at Mtn. Home Hospital. Funeral Services are at Flahiff Funeral Chapel, Caldwell, Thursday, July 19, 2012, at 2:00 PM followed by a Graveside Service at Canyon Hill Cemetery, Caldwell. Grace was born in Caldwell, May 12, 1922, to Lorenzo and Mamie Priscilla Mallory of Caldwell. She was the last living out of 15 children. Her and her siblings grew up on a farm. She had to help cook and sew dresses for her sisters. Funds were short, she was only able to complete 8th grade. The holidays were special with lots of homemade gifts and lots of food. Grace married Ralph A. Heath of Emmett. They had a son Carl R. Heath of Cambridge, daughter Carol L. Gust of Mtn. Home. Survivors: six grand-children and fourteen great-grandchildren with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. She liked to cook, fish, hunt, camp, and dance. Grace attended nurses training, had various home healthcare jobs, and also bartended. She loved to travel by bus, train, and with family. Grace always talked about growing up, and about her family. Her proudest memory was of her Grandfather who was an Engineer on the train that took President Abraham Lincoln to his Inaugural Address, and again to his burial. Grace will be greatly missed by her family and friends. We will always remember the stories and precious time we had with her.
