Grace C Martinez

Grace C. Martinez, 61, born September 14, 1950, went with our Lord on August 20, 2012. Surrounded by her loving family, Grace bid us farewell to join in heaven, her parents, Luis and Aniceta Martinez; sister, Melinda Martinez; and brothers, Francisco and Fidel Martinez. Grace is survived by her brothers, Rudy, Rufino and wife, Maria, Lewis and wife, Patsy, Chris and wife, Carol, and Julius Martinez; sisters, Mary Louise, Mary Jane, and Linda Martinez; twelve nieces and nephews; nine grand-nieces and nephews; and numerous special and caring cousins and friends. Grace earned her Bachelor's Degree in education from UNM and was a retired APS school teacher having taught at Ernie Pyle Middle School, Longfellow, Alvarado, and Chaparral Elementary Schools. Grace was our strong-willed sister always doing for others before herself and will be greatly missed by all who knew her. A Rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at Our Lady of Sorrows Catholic Church, 301 S. Camino del Pueblo, with Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. following the Rosary. Interment will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Rufino, Lewis, Chris, Brian, Julius, and Alexander Martinez. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Martinez, Santiago and David Aguilar, and Bryan and Gabriel Montano.
