Predeceased by her parents Freda Huber and Harry Schaffer, her siblings Ruth Johnson Guensel, Harry R., George W, and Gilbert Schaffer. Surviving siblings are Ethel Scott and William Schaffer. She was married to her childhood sweetheart, James Crowe Roberts in 1947 and he died in 1997 just a few months short of their golden anniversary. They had three children: Susan married to Dan Hodnot and residing in Portland, OR James married to Barbara Lanz residing in Winter Park, CO Ethel married to Jay Corley residing in Scottsdale, AZ Grace adored her four grandsons James Charles Roberts married to Melissa Boyer residing in Castle Rock, CO Jason Edmund Corley married to Brittany Heath residing in Brownsville, TX Eric Lanz Roberts residing in Fort Collins, CO Timothy James Corley residing in Jersey City, NJ Her delight was her five Great Grandchildren: Alexander James Roberts Silas John Roberts Ella Grace Roberts Jackson Edmund Corley Alice Michelle Corley Grace was born in Philadelphia and lived there most of her life. She Graduated from Bensalem High School in 1943 after living in Philadelphia and Bucks County during her childhood. While her siblings created mischief and hi-jinx, she preferred to immerse herself into a good book. Jim and Grace were married at Glading Memorial Presbyterian Church on the Oxford Circle where they resided most of their married life. They were active members of the community and loved to entertain their relatives, friends, and neighbors. It was here that she developed a life-long love of a 5 O’clock Manhattan that followed her for the rest of her life. Being the wife of a Philadelphia Policeman meant that much of the family management fell to her and she did a great job. She went on to be employed as a dental assistant, accounting clerk at Bell Telephone, then on to work at Strawbridge and Clothier’s in Philadelphia. Grace and Jim were happy to travel throughout the US and to Europe while enjoying the sites they often visited family nearby. In their later years, they had a vacation home near Ocean City, NJ where they enjoyed the company of their friends and relatives. In retirement, they moved to Hatfield, PA living in a place that Grace embraced and lived in comfortably after becoming a widow in 1997. For Grace, Pennsylvania was always “home”. In 2011 she relocated to live with Ethel and Jay in their home in Scottsdale. In 2015 she moved to Salt Lake City to live with Jim and Barbara. Just this year she moved into Rocky Mountain Assisted Living in Wheat Ridge, CO where she died with her daughter Susan by her side
