Grant S. Fletcher

Grant S. Fletcher of Sutter Creek, CA passed away on March 21, 2021 at his home in Sutter Creek. He was born in Washington, D.C. on January 25, 1958. Grant joined the U.S. Army in 1982 and served active duty for 2 years and reserve for 4 years. He attended and graduated from San Diego State University in 1986 with a degree in business administration. Grant worked as a financial advisor for over 30 years for various financial firms when he moved on to owning his own financial planning business. He participated in many activities such as being a past Lions’ Club President, coaching junior team tennis in Amador County and serving in his church as a deacon and worship leader. Grant enjoyed surfing, skiing, running, backpacking, and spending time with his family. Grant is survived by his wife of 31 years, Janyce; children, Evan (Audra) and Erin (Allan); grandsons, Lucca, and Liam; siblings, Clay (Jan), Marc (Donna), Ashley (Gene), and Ian (Monika); Uncle Jim and Aunt Marta; stepbrother, Nick (Julie); stepsisters, Deana (Jay) and Linden; stepmother, Susan and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, William Fletcher and Mary Fletcher. His life cannot be summed up in a few words. He was larger than life and lived it to the fullest. The most loving, kind, faithful husband, father, and grandfather. He touched many lives during his time on earth. We thank God for the blessing of his presence in our lives. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
