Greg Rewey

Gregory R. Rewey, age 50, left us far too early on January 7, 2021 surrounded by his family. Greg was born July 3rd 1970 in St. Paul, MN to David and Nancy (Rasmussen) Rewey. He moved to Stacy, MN at the age of 9 with his parents David and Dawn (Senn) Rewey and older brother. After completing high school, he joined the Army in 1989 and served in the Gulf War. During his years of service he was stationed in Germany, Iraq, Korea and Georgia. Greg’s first child Heather was born in 1989 in St. Paul. His second child Nathan was born in 1996 in Georgia. In 1997 he was honorably discharged. Shortly after returning to Minnesota with his family Greg was employed by Graybar Electric where he continued to work for the last 21 years. Greg and his wife Sue met at Graybar and were married on July 3rd 2010 in Spring Lake Park, MN. Greg was an avid outdoorsman who especially loved hunting and fishing. His greatest joys in life were his wife, his children and his grandchildren. Watching his grandson play baseball, his oldest granddaughter play hockey and throughly enjoyed watching his youngest granddaughter grow over the past three years. Greg is survived by his loving wife Sue; children Heather (Rob) Lund & Nathan; 3 grandchildren Nathan (16), Grace(13), & Gabby(2); parents David & Dawn Rewey & Nancy Schmidt; siblings Patrick (Amy), Alex (Kanako) and Anna Louise, and several nieces and nephews. There will be a Memorial Service at 7 PM with a gathering from 6-7 PM Wednesday, Jan. 13th at Willwerscheid Funeral Home, 1167 Grand Ave. St. Paul. There will be a private interment at Fort Snelling at a later date. Memorial Service will be live streamed on the Twin Cities Cremation facebook page.
