It is with a heavy heart I announce the passing of my brother Gregory Branch. Greg was born and raised in the San Gabriel Valley. Greg loved sports and family. Growing up we were fortunate enough to be able to attend many Dodger games. In recent discussions we would often reminisce about what an amazing childhood we had. Just the right balance of worship, education, chores and a whole lot of fun! Our family moved to Paradise California in 1979 where Greg attended Paradise High School. After graduation Greg attended Butte College and then Chico State where he graduated earning his teaching credential. He taught for a short time at Berry Creek Elementary and Nelson Avenue before landing at Poplar Elementary School where he taught for 34 years. Greg loved basketball and played on several leagues over the years in both Paradise and Oroville. Always proudly sporting his Lakers cap. He was a kind man and will be sorely missed. A celebration of life will be held for Greg at Poplar Avenue School on Saturday March 18th at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to your favorite charity.
