Gregory Paul Chisholm - Howard

Gregory Paul Chisholm-Howard, 58, formerly of Olean and Humphrey, passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022, in Bluffton, SC after a long battle with cancer. Gregory graduated from Ellicottville High School, Olean Business Institute, and Houghton College. Upon graduation, he landed in Atlanta, GA, and worked for twenty years as a business manager for a dental practice until he was forced to retire due to health reasons. Besides the love of his life, Shawn, his next big loves were animals and music— especially broadway musicals. Greg knew all the words to every song; there wasn’t a musical he didn’t love. He and Shawn frequented their local theatre, and he was known to belt out his favorite tunes. Before leaving Olean, Greg sang with the Olean Barbershoppers. He loved his Bills, traveling, his husband, and their pets. They provided a home to as many as five pets at one time, many of which were disabled. He is survived by his husband, Shawn Lee Chisholm-Howard of Atlanta, GA, and three brothers: Dennis (Sandra) Chisholm of Bluffton, SC, Terry (Teresa) Chisholm of Coudersport, PA, and Thomas Chisholm of Charlotte, NC. He also has five sisters: Kathy (Ray) Goff of Elon, NC, Susan (Mike) Mangan of Bluffton, SC, Anne (Ron) Studd of Bear, DE, Janice (John) Horne of Atlanta, GA, and Jeanne (Dale) Schloesser of Kansas City, MO. He was adored and cherished by 64 nieces and nephews. Greg was predeceased by his parents, Earle and Katherine Chisholm, and two brothers, Robert and Mark Chisholm. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you honor Greg by listening to or watching your favorite musical and/or donating to an animal shelter of your own choice. Greg’s Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 18, 2022, at St. Philip Benito in Moncks Corner, SC with his interment at Mepkin Abbey in Moncks Corner, SC.
